No musical detail will be spared as Wild Honey cuts to the heart of these iconic songs with soulful guest vocalists, both famous and not, and incredible instrumental backing provided by the Wild Honey Orchestra. Chris Collingwood of Fountains of Wayne declared the Wild Honey Orchestra to be "just about the most cracking backup band I’ve ever heard. I told my friends that playing with that many amazing musicians behind me felt like piloting a 747."

Here's the review http://www.goldminemag.com/blogs/wild-honey-beach-...

The show will benefit the Autism Think Tank (autismthinktanknj.com), a non-profit that brings together a team of top autism specialists, via an internet medical conference, to tackle the painful medical/psychological issues faced by kids like Wild Honey co-founder Paul Rock's twelve-year-old son Jake, a non-verbal autistic boy with extreme digestive distress and self-injury issues

The Wild Honey Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, seeks to support various charitable causes while passing on the passion, creativity, and idealism found in rock, rhythm & blues, folk & pop music to future generations.

George Harrison Tribute - 7:00 PM
2029 N. Lake
Altadena, CA 91001
Price: $20

Celebrating the Quiet Beatle: Remembering George Harrison (on his Birthday) featuring Dave Humphries and the Hollywood Project with special guests

He was known as the 'quiet Beatle.' In the early days of the band, George Harrison stood in quiet concentration pulling out lead guitar work that was influenced by Elmore James and Carl Perkins. It was no small feat outgrowing the shadow cast by Lennon & McCartney as band mates. But, Harrison did that penning such classics as Taxman, Something, While My Guitar Gently Weeps and Here Comes the Sun. He went onto to create a legacy of songs and albums that have stood the test of time. His classic songs like "My Sweet Lord," and "Beware of Darkness" have endured and stood the test of time.

Now for our tribute series at The Coffee Gallery Backstage, we bring you a night to Remember George Harrison on the occasion of what would have been his 74th birthday. The show will feature the fabulous Dave Humphries and The Hollywood Project. Humphries is a native of England and has built his career recordings albums continue the rock magic championed by The Beatles. He and the band could be described as Badfinger meets The Traveling Wilburys. Along with Hollywood Project's keyboardist, Wolfgang Grasekamp, Humphries tours the southland re-creating the era of The Beatles and inspiring us with his original rock 'n' roll songs. He will bring a magic twist to his take on George Harrison's songs. His past collaborations include work with Joey Molland of  Badfinger and Tony Sheridan the original front-man for The Beatles.

Stephen Kalinich is better known as L.A.'s own Poet of Peace. After writing lyrics with The Beach Boys he embarked on a solo career that included collaborations with Dennis and Brian Wilson.

Singer-songwriter, author and photographer, Paul Zollo is one of the most important people in the L.A. music scene. He penned the essential book on songwriting simply titled, "Songwriters on Songwriting" and its recent sequel "More Songwriters on Songwriting." He has interviewed the likes of Paul Simon, Bob Dylan and Randy Newman. His songwriting talent can be heard on Daryl Purpose's new album, Still the Birds.

Rob Bonfiglio is an independent singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and recording artist. His solo career has found him championing power pop and a distinct rhythm and blues style.

Neil Rosengarden is a multi-talented, multi-instrumentalist and songster. He can be viewed on YouTube in trumpet duet with the legendary Al Hirt. He can also be seen frequently at The Coffee Gallery Backstage with his bag of magical instruments spicing up the music and playing his own original songs.

Nick Guzman is an extraordinary young musician who is well-schooled in the classic rock of the 60s and 70s. He has participated in the great Wild Honey shows at the Alex Theater in Glendale and has shared the stage with Stephen Stills.

This will be a great night to remember the birthday of the great George Harrison with some of the finest musicians from the southland.

Breaking Baby Blue: An Evening of Tributes to Badfinger’s Pete Ham - 7:30
575 South Fairfax ave
Los Angeles, CA 90036
Price: $25.00

Nick Guzman will be joining John Wicks for a couple of tunes!  See details for the show below:

Breaking Baby Blue, in conjunction with co-producer Probyn Gregory of The Brian Wilson band, are hosting an event at Molly Malone’s in Los Angeles on April 24, 2016, the anniversary date of the passing of Badfinger’s Pete Ham. It is titled: “Breaking Baby Blue: An Evening of Tributes to Badfinger’s Pete Ham.

Performing will be the band Breaking Baby Blue: A Celebration of Badfinger’s Tom Evans and Pete Ham along with celebrity tributes from artists who admired the talents of Badfinger and Pete Ham. These artists announced will be updated on the FACEBOOK events page as they confirm.

Badfinger championed good melodic songwriting with honest sincere lyrics and quality song arrangements. Pete kept alive a style in the mainstream with the success of his special songs that were Top Ten around the world. He never gave in to the pressure to use gimmickry or image to alter his passion.

After Paul McCartney graciously gave Badfinger “Come And Get It” to help draw attention to them, Pete wrote the band’s next three consecutive worldwide smashes in “No Matter What,” “Day After Day,” and “Baby Blue.” He also co-wrote “Without You” – one of the all-time standards. Quite a run and there were many other potential hits never released. We will be acknowledging other members such as fallen comrades Tom Evans and Mike Gibbins.

Note that any profits will go to Rin’s Rescue Animal Rescue VIP House, which provides for the health care and adoption services of domesticated pets. Animals were of special interest to Pete Ham. This is a non-profit that we know firsthand does good work and puts the money to immediate use.

Altadena, CA 91001
Price: $20

A Tribute to P.F. Sloan Featuring-The Honeys, Rumer, Stephen Kalinich, John York, Paul Zollo, Duane Thorin, The Licattas and Nick Guzman

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!! Last January’s Tribute for the Late, Great P.F. Sloan was not enough for the Coffee Gallery Backstage audience. Join us for this unique encore tribute to this great American songwriter.

Joining us will be The Honeys, the all-girl counterpart to The Beach Boys back in the 60’s. Their studio and touring career paralleled the Beach Boys during the 60’s. The band members include Marilyn Wilson Rutherford, Diane Rovell and Ginger Blake. Marilyn and Diane are mother and aunt to Carney Wilson of Wilson/Phillips fame. Marilyn also spent many years married to Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys.

International pop singer songwriter and good friend of P.F. Sloan, Rumer, will also be joining us. She is among the finest pop-rock singers on the music scene today. Her voice has been compared to Karen Carpenter. Counted among her fans are Elton John, Burt Bacharach and Richard Carpenter. This will be a time to hear her unique interpretations of P.F. Sloan’s songs.

Returning will be the dynamic Stephen Kalinich, a great poet, singer-songwriter, Beach Boys lyricist and spoken word artist. He has also released new albums of songs with Jon Tiven.

One of the artists who shared the stage with P.F Sloan during his last year is former Byrd, John York. He will return again to give his own unique take on Sloan’s songs.

Photographer, author, music journalist and songwriter, Paul Zollo will return bringing his own unique blend of rock & soul to Sloan’s songs.

Returning again is singer-songwriter and performer extraordinaire Duane Thorin and the ultra-talented teen duo, The Licattas. Up and coming artist, the gifted, Nick Guzman, who has shared the stage with Neil Young, Stephen Stills and Steve Earle will also be appear

The band will consist of multi-instrumentalist, Rob Bonfiglio, he Gentleman-Bass man, Chad Watson, and musical magician, Neil Rosengarden.

This will be a rare- opportunity to honor and remember one of the greatest American songwriters of the last 50 years….to say goodbye to a friend, but also to say hello to his legacy.

Returning as our impeccable M.C. will be Steve Feinberg, who we can expect will bring back his ‘case for P.F. Sloan.’ Make your reservations today as this show is bound to be a sell-out. Don’t be left out!!

In February he jumped in at the last to save the day, forgetting that he had a dentist appt that afternoon. We got what, 15 glorious minutes?!? MONDAY, yes, we're switching to Monday after all, to accommodate his podcast taping on Tuesday. So, Mon, June 29th at 11 am, we're getting the whole Miller. A comeback many worried wouldn't happen. Plus, Cathy Ladman, hot off her Tedtalk, she's taking us there, a story we women need to hear again, and again and again... Jillian Lauren, well, man has she been through it. She gave us episode one (and "Pretty" necklaces!) via her NY Times Bestseller a few years ago... now, she's got another real life story to tell... from her about to drop sure to be Bestsller, Everything You Ever Wanted, and then there's Nicholas Guzman. I heard his music about a year ago... discovered he was just a kid and asked him to come play for us anyways. He didn't feel ready. Since then he's played with Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Susan Cowsill, to name a few. His latest original, I'm Trembling has been on heavy rotation on my play list. At least 8 times today. Did I mention Nick is autistic?!? I didn't have a clue. Neither will you. Issues. We'll be reliving and talkin' issues. And I can't friggin wait. SAVE THE DAMN DATE.

THE PSYCHO SISTERS (Susan Cowsill and Vicki Peterson) met in an orphanage outside of Bern, Switzerland. The two young girls shared a bizarre sense of humor and a love of music, inspiring them to compose clever operettas, which they performed to the polite horror of the nuns. When Susan, the younger one, was adopted by a large, wealthy family in America, Vicki, the blonder one, escaped the orphanage...

Pre-order their new record here: http://www.amazon.com/Up-On-The-Chair-Beatrice/dp/B00K0NANZY/ref=tmm_acd_title_0?ie=UTF8&qid=1404969789&sr=1-1

STEVE BARTON, the lead singer of the legendary SF-band Translator will perform a solo set. Mr. Barton began his illustrious show business career with "Dr. Zimbolini’s Magical Traveling Faire" – he was clown #7 in the famous Clown Car act – when all 12 clowns would come tumbling out of the tiny car, oh how the crowd roared! One day, while the circus was touring Europe, he found himself wandering the streets of Bern, where he heard the most beautiful and inventive operetta coming over the walls of an orphanage. He realized then and there that his true calling was music. Remembering George Harrison’s famous words “I’m older now than I’ve ever been”, he knew that there was no time like now. So, he ran away from the circus, found like-minded creatures, and together they discovered what to do with an A-minor chord. The rest, as they say…..

NICK GUZMAN has been listening to 60’s music since the 90’s. He has had an affinity for music since he was a baby. He used to lie by the large speakers in the living room, listening with intensity as though he was trying to make sense of the emotion that the music made him feel.

Again in April of 2013 Nick was selected to perform for The Light Up The Blues Concert through The Miracle Project, which was put on by Autism Speaks and hosted by rock legend Stephen Stills and his wife Kristen Stills. It was a star-studded event that Jack Black MC’d and included some of Nick’s musical heroes! Stephen Stills, Graham Nash, David Crosby and their amazing band, Chris Stills, Lucinda Williams, Rickie Lee Jones, Ryan Adams, Don Felder.

Light It Up Blue begins the evening of April 2 on World Autism Awareness Day. Throughout April, countless iconic buildings, landmarks, hotels, sporting venues, concert halls, museums, bridges, and retail stores along with hundreds of thousands of businesses, homes and communities worldwide participate in Light It Up Blue to help shine a bright light on Autism.  Additional ways everyone can participate in Light It Up Blue include: Illuminate: Change your white bulbs to blue. Light up your home, business, school, place of worship or even your website blue to show your support; Donate: Text Autism to 25383 to donate $10 to Autism Speaks or make a donation on www.LightItUpBlue.org;  Advocate: Take action as Autism Speaks calls on President Obama and Congress to develop and implement a comprehensive national plan to address autism and sign a petition on www.LightItUpBlue.org.

About Autism
Autism is a general term used to describe a group of complex developmental brain disorders – Autism Spectrum disorders – caused by a combination of genes and environmental influences. These disorders are characterized, in varying degrees, by communication difficulties, social and behavioral challenges, as well as repetitive behaviors. An estimated one in 88 children in the U.S. is on the Autism Spectrum – a 78 percent increase in six years that is only partly explained by improved diagnosis.

About Autism Speaks
Autism Speaks is the world’s leading autism science and advocacy organization. It is dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism; increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders; and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families. Autism Speaks was founded in February 2005 by Suzanne and Bob Wright, the grandparents of a child with autism. Mr. Wright is the former vice chairman of General Electric and chief executive officer of NBC and NBC Universal. Since its inception, Autism Speaks has committed more than $195 million to research and developing innovative resources for families. Each year Walk Now for Autism Speaks events are held in more than 100 cities across North America. On the global front, Autism Speaks has established partnerships and related activities in more than 40 countries on five continents to foster international research, services and awareness. About Stephen Shore

Nonverbal until the age of four and diagnosed with "atypical development with strong autistic tendencies," Stephen Shore was regarded as "too sick" to be treated as an outpatient and was recommended for institutionalization. Fortunately, his parents disagreed. With their persistence and the help of teachers, friends, and professionals, he progressed more than anyone thought possible. Shore is now completing his Ph.D in special education at Boston University with a focus on helping autistic people develop their capacities to the fullest extent. Highly sought after as a speaker able to articulate the autistic mind, Shore will present an evening of conversation to celebrate Autism Awareness Month.
